Overview
Little River Regional Park & Natural Area covers 391 acres off Guess Rd near the Orange/Durham county border. There are 7 miles of hiking trails and 7 miles of mountain bike trails. Ample parking, wide trails and a playground make this park family-friendly. Check the official page for a schedule of monthly park programs.
Wildlife
White-tailed deer, beavers, chipmunks, squirrels, raccoons, mink, fish, freshwater mussels, crayfish, snakes, turtles, frogs, toads, songbirds, woodpeckers, hawks, owls, wild turkeys, blue-tailed skinks, butterflies, dragonflies, damselflies, and velvet ants.
Plant Life
Mushrooms, wildflowers, sumac, poison oak, poison ivy, oak, hickory, beech, and pine trees.
Landmarks
Law's farmhouse, corn crib, tobacco pack house, and remnants of a mill
Location
From Raleigh/Durham, take 1-85N to the Guess Rd exit. Turn right onto Guess Rd and the park entrance will be to your right in about 10 miles (about 1 mile after the Orange County border).

Closed on Thanksgiving Day, and December 24th & 25th.
